WedTM Coming Online - How do you like your blueprints?

Hello Citizens!

Some of you may already know me, but for those of you who do not, I'm the Web Director for StarMade. What that means is that I'm responsible for all the web sites associated with StarMade. I have recently been on hiatus for my other job.

Now that I'm back, I'm going to start building up more infrastructure on the Registry, and in particular the Blueprints section.

I would like to make this thread a repo of ideas for the blueprints section of the Registry. A deeper integration with in-game blueprints is already a key feature we're working on.

I can't wait to see what you guys can come up with!

Bench's idea is something that ought to be implemented.

Also use it like a cloud so that ppl can upload their ships then download them for use on any computer

Can you link me to the video/post you're referring to?

The cloud concept is something that we're already throwing around, so you're on the right track!

thats no way to think about it, maybe @blackcancer would work on it again if it was being used officially, or wedtm could make his own

I'll just be specific about the issues I see.

Things I wish we had in the blueprint system we don't have now:

Some way to enter the stats into the blueprint, either on the website or in game.
Able to classify the ship (warship, salvage, support and logistics, battle-outpost, homebase, etc.)
I'd like to indicate the server of origin as well.
Also, a more comprehensive rating scale would be fantastic. Something beyond just this IGN-esque EVERYONE GETS FIVE STARS WOOOO thing we have now.

Can you make so there is a pirate ship sub category and sub categories for other things like what are for like rp and size categories

factions/groups

The ability to invite people to groups/factions so that we can have a central repo of ships, with permission levels

This! Definitely this! Bench working with wedtm to make the registry alongside bench's website and maybe even just making the blueprint section bech's website would just be pure awesome!

Size

It would also be nice if:

1. every user could save|store his own filters
2. servers could provide filters which limit to allowed ships
3. filters could extend others (e.g: user filter is in the limits of the server filter while this is active)

Ship categories

Ship votes in categories are enhanced:

-4 ,, -2 ,, -1 ,, +-0 ,, +1 ,, +2 ,, +4

Vote value should be multiplied with (voted entities / vote value) before it's applied to an item.
This allows to rate (+above average, -below average) (+nice thing, -won't use it) (+perfect, why got that uploaded?)​

Positive and negative should count separately

Rating (positive + negative)
Votes (positive - negative)
Positive (positive)
Negative (negative)​

I'll working on but before any update of BPViewer I want to finish the update of SMDecoder.

if possible when export a ship, make a txt file containing all sizes, number of blocks, and systems the ship have. so when you upload the system would read the txt and be able to auto fill those infos
