[BEGIN TRANSMISSION]
Welcome to USSF space, traveller. We are the most powerful navy in the Virgo Supercluster. As the original force, we have hundreds of surplus vessels, feel free to look around for some. If you are looking for newer hardware, head over to our main shipyard, where you can see all of our current vessels.

Hello StarMade players! Welcome to the USSF Faction page. I made a different page for this faction a while back on the old website, now I'm starting up again here. The USSF is a laid back military corporation backed by humanity's core worlds, Earth, Mars, and Europa. We are always looking for new members. You may join so long as you are not in a faction hostile to us. I am recruiting builders to help me create ships for the shipyard. This faction specialises in aesthetically pleasing ships that *usually* have an interior. Feel free to download them if you wish, just don't try to pass them off as being built by you.
Official classifications are here.

Usual IGN:
Would you rather be an officer, a pilot, or an soldier?
If officer: Would you rather be a naval, air force, or infantry officer?
If pilot: Would you rather be a fighter pilot or a naval crewman?
If soldier: Would you rather be an infantryman (Ground only), paratrooper (Inserted within a gravity well), a marine (Inserted onto the ground), or a driver (Tanks)?
Why do you want to join?
What factions are you currently in?
Do you like to roleplay?

Usual IGN:
Specialty: (Big/Small/Non-Military/etc, only 1 or 2 are needed.)
Example of work, minimum of 1 screenshot from the outside, one in the pilot's steat, and one of the internals. (If it is not within a reasonable distance of the criteria below, not counting regulation colors, it will not be accepted. Internals are required, but not nearly as strict when applying.)

Short Description of Yourself:
1. Requires aesthetic engines, not just thrusters poking out the back. (Up to but not including corvettes can ignore this rule.)
2. Any ship without aesthetic engines requires thrusters coming out the back (Not all of them, just something sane.)
3. Weapons on anything larger than a corvette and very small frigates must have some sort of decoration, no exceptions.
4. All non-stealth ships require hull/decorations to be covering most of the hull.
5. Use aesthetic shapes, greebling the outside of a cube is not acceptable build quality.
6. Interiors are a must.
7. All standard ships have a white hull with black detailing.
8. AI/Semi-Automatic ships use a black finish with red detailing. The red detailing should be mostly lights.
9. Civilian ships use a white hull with gray detailing.
10. Capital ships require a serial number on their sides. This will be gone over in detail in the ship classifications.
11. Use 64 light setting (raytracesteps or whatever it's called) when lighting your interiors.
12. Screenshots are not to be taken with the GUI on. Disable it before taking pictures.
13. If you are rejected, you may resubmit an application (With a different build) once per day, with an additional resubmission allowed within one day of the rejection.
14. I reserve the right to reject anybody depending on the quality of the build presented.

Not counting anything below corvettes, you must follow these instructions.
1. Every 1-1.5 millon credits requires a crewman. Exceptions might be made on a case by case basis. Every turret and/or docked entity other than escape pods require an additional crewman. Corvettes require only 1 crew per 2-2.5 million credits.
2. AI ships require only an access hatch to the AI, but MUST have one.
3. Frigates and up cannot be complete AI.
4. Semi-Autonomous ships require only a control room, and a crew member every 10 million credits, with a minimum of 1 crewman.
5. I have to approve you building an AI/Semi-Autonomous/Civilian ship. Most should be normal warships. Applies to all classes, not just corvettes and up.
6. Each crewman requires a bunk and 1 storage.
7. Starting at 10 crewman and increasing every 10 more, 1 bathroom is needed. A closed, accessible toilet counts as a bathroom. Stalls having toilets count as well.
8. At 15 crewman, a mess hall is required. Something to sit on, be it chair, stool, whatever, is required for every crewman, including the player.
9. At 20 crewman, you need a medbay. The medbay needs 1 bed per 20 crew, and be sure to add storage for med supplies.
10. At 100 crewmen, you need a shuttle bay. Ships with 100 crew and up cannot land on planets, requiring shuttles for planetary excursions.
11. Cruisers and above require a bridge and a room for each main system. (Weapons, engines, reactor/capacitor, and shields.)
12. Airlocks are a must. Have a 2x2 square of door space for every 20 crew, or 3x3 starting at 50 and either one needs another per 20/30.
13. All rooms need doors to any opening. This means there are at least 2 doors at either end of a hallway.
14. Cargo/salvage ships need a storage room. Regular ships must have a storage room if they are to collect anything from destroyed enemies.
15. Any ship using a boarding party must have a bay for boarding shuttles, and preferably some weapons with the stop effect.
16. Colonisation ships can hold 100 theoretical passengers per 2 cubes of empty space.
17. Only corvettes can have system blocks showing in the crew areas, system rooms are exempt from this rule.

3312: Colonization ship reaches New Earth, renamed again "Terra Beta." Dropped probes detect that the only present life is similar to bacteria.
3322: The life has been confirmed not to be able to harm humans. Half of the colony ship's population descends, giving Terra Beta a population of 2.3 million. Huge amounts of useful materials are discovered.
3351: Twin shipyards are launched into orbit of Terra Beta, now having a population of 2.7 million. A space telescope is also launched, discovering 5 possible new colony planets, orbiting a star now named Aquerius.
3359: Aquerius V is the only one of the 5 possible targets suitable for colonization. A smaller colony ship is launched from Earth to colonise it.
4611: FTL drives are developed. Humanity has colonised Aquerius V and terraformed Aquerius IV to make it habitable. Human population at 32.6 billion.
4952: All suitable planets within 100 million lightyears of Earth are colonised. The USSF begins mass production of warships after Aquerius IV announces independence and begins terraforming and colonisation procedures on all nearby planets. Aquerius V is conquered.
5734: Humans are far-flung across the Virgo Supercluster, population is believed to be above 92 billion. Numerous factions have formed, the USSF remains the strongest.
