Unable to connect to ANY servers, 'Requesting synchronise'

This is a problem I've been experiencing since I first began playing StarMade a few weeks ago, and is really getting to the point where it is stopping me from playing at all;

Regardless of which server I attempt to connect to, regardless of the time of day, number of players, etc. I am unable to connect to any multiplayer server, being stuck at the 'requesting synchronize' stage of connection. As I write this I am unable to connect to a server which my friends are currently logged into and playing on. Turning off my firewall has no effect upon this error, and I would really appreciate any help with it.

I\'ve done that before, I\'ll do it again and let you know what happens.

Did you try loggin in? It should be at the top by the name you want to use.

Yes, I log in using my username and password.

Anyone know how to view some kind of error report or processes report for java?
