I'm not sure if this has been discussed or has happened to anyone else yet, but I got in a fight with a bunch of pirates with my battle cruiser. The ship is able to withstand all the firepower stock pirate ships can throw at me, but somehow I ended up with a massive hole in my ship right where two of my turrets were. I'm just venturing at a guess that what happened was a turret was destroyed and it's core overloaded and blew up right no my ships hull. Anyone else have this happen? Cause honestly if that is what happened I see no point in having those things, cause they barely do any damage anyway.

Did you by chance not have any shields on the turret? Just in case you didnt know, turrets don\'t share the shields from the mother ship.

And never had any damage done to my ship by their explosions... maybe my turrets just aren\'t big enough to cause that kind of explosion.

Also as for turrets being weak, well that depends on how you design them, my dreadnought has one turret on either side and they are each capable of rapid dissasembly of an Isanth and can take a lot of hits before taking any damage at all. if your building tiny little turrets on a frigate, then they really aren\'t worth it, turrets really are for ships that take far too long to turn to be able to take out tiny ships like the Isanths that can outmaneuver it. (or worse, player made fighters that are silly fast)
