Hello! I've been lurking for a while, just made an account, and decided to give my input here. But first, a little background.
My friend recently tried to play Starmade and recieved a JVM error; the feedback told him to update his drivers if he has an intel card. We went through and collected a more recent and, with some searching, the most recent intel drivers, to no avail. I stumbled upon the real issue quite by accident, when trying to run a game with a java-based launcher; his Path had no Java directory! I fixed this and, on a hunch, went to start Starmade for him (we were using TeamViewer). It took a moment to adjust, but afterwards ran fine.
I would suggest an addition to the troubleshooting message or a measure to detect a broken Path, as it currently suggests that it is entirely a graphics issue.
