Trouble Connecting to Multiplayer

I seem to have a problem in that I can't connect to multiplayer, even when just trying localhost:4242. It says connecting, but no matter how long I leave it going, it never connects. I've been able to connect to multiplayer in the past, and I don't think any sort of settings have changed on my computer, so I'm really confused here.

I seem to be having the same problem. I have been trying to troubleshoot with opening up random ports and even reinstalling starmade, and nothing seems to have worked.
