Too many mobs!

    I followed a pair of traders to see where they're going. It turned out, they went to attack a starbase. After a few seconds, pirates joined in. Then, more traders arrived. And then, more pirates. And more traders, and more pirates. After 10 minutes, the sector was full of ships, but they kept coming, until my client began stuttering and funally froze completely. The end.

    Is there a way to limit the number of mobs that can exist in a sector at any given time?

    Nope.

    If you are admin you can disable simulation. This will turn off pirates and trade guild.

    pirates and trading guilds working together? what were they attacking a pirate base?

    so the pirate were protecting their base. you should of killed the base

    I tried to. I took out all the turrets, but by the time I found the faction module, the lag had already crippled my pc.
    By the way, do pirate bases have core modules?

    once you destroy the faction module nobody owns that station then
