From Experimentation and the Starmade community I have found that increasing box dimension of thrusters increases thrust in a similar way to Power. I am of Course wondering, how far do the similarities stretch.

Is there a incremental decrease in the efficiency of each block added to a cluster (similar to cannons or missiles) or is there a cap where box dimension ceases to affect the thrust increase? Does, if such a cap exists, is it limited to clusters or is there a cap for the whole ship, where by past a point building blocks of thrusters is just as effective as adding box dimensions of thrusters?

I haven\'t noticed same exponential increase for thrusters, maybe it was changed... i need to check soon. Why would there be cap? I\'m sure you won\'t see any such things up till 2000 million thrust/power, and even then it might just make a display error.

Say you make 2 groups (X being power):
    X (group 1)
    XXXX
    X
    and
    XX (group 2)
    XXX
    X

Now it is clear that group 1 produces much more power than group 2, even though block amount is same. That second X on top row of group 2 doesn\'t decrease power, it just increases it less than than block that increases dimensions.

edit: I confirmed today that thrusters also add up same way as power blocks do. That means no more thrusters concentrations at the back of the ship, but long lines all along the ship...

I was simply wondering, many people have looked into efficency when it comes to power, cannons and missiles, i have not however seen much reaserch into thrust efficency

I just tested it a bit. As you\'ve probably noticed, the first thruster block only gives you 1 thrust. After that you gain an addititional 2.2 thrust for the next one, and the amount per block increases as you add more. By the time I stopped, it was adding 3.4 thrust for each thruster I added and I was up to 1336.4 thrust total from one long line of thrusters. The efficiency doesn\'t appear to have decreased at any point in that test, but that\'s really not a very large number.

I\'m sure someone actually building an absurdly massive ship would be able to tell if it was, since the normal efficiency values would be different even for the second block on a two block set of thrusters if it were behaving like power does with huge thrust amounts.

Hmm. I have a ship with 30110.3 thrust. Let\'s see what happens if I add another thruster. And then another to that one. 30111.3. And then 30113.5. Difference between those two: Still 2.2.

That\'s the most thrust I have on a ship. Anyone with more can do the same thing to see if the value is any less, and if so, then we\'ll know if at some point lines of thrusters would become less effective.
