The old trailer was much better

I just rewatched the new and the old trailer, and I must say that the older one is much better, and I will tell you why:

1. Music - the older trailer had this epic music, that pumped you with energy and taste to try out the game. The new one... It's just meh
2. Video itself - the older one had those little text cards popping out with sounds. It is just a small detail, but it looked really cool. The new one has only a black screen with a text. Again: Meh.
3. Ships - The older one had actual videos of ships, but the new one only rotates extremly fast around them, so you can't see any detail.
4. The nostalgia - This may be just a personal issue, but I think the old one has a much better impact than the new one. Mainly because you can see the old stations and Isanth, as well as the old texture pack. It feels really nostalgic !

These are my 4 reasons why I think the older trailer is much better. What do you think ? Is the old one or the new one better ?

Personally i prefer the new trailer as i find the start more atmospheric, and the way shots of it are set up in it later.


also it means i don't have to look at the horrific old textures, which is a plus

This is totally irrelevant given that the trailers are intended to bring NEW players into the fold, not cater to older players.

The old trailer had entirely too much reading. Not only that, but the phrasing used was a little weird, and redundantly repetitious. The new trailer was a much better showcase of what you could actually accomplish in game. (aside from the dancing Dave rave)

Maybe linking both videos in the OP would be a good idea so players know which videos your talking about imo XD There have been a ton of various trailers made

The one on the steam page definitely pans around and switches between ships way to fast. You don't get a chance to actually see what they look like.
