The Kessel is an Apollo class general purpose spaceship specifically designed to be modified by its captain / engineer / interior designer (select appropriate) to whatever task it needs to do - combat, salvage work, or even luxury passenger transport!
A plethora of available interior space (including two pocket sized "smuggler's chambers" hidden inside the thrust nacelles) means that whatever you want to add, it's more likely than not you're going to have space available for it.
A reasonable price of just over 1.1 million credits means anyone with a reasonable budget can afford to purchase this robust and adaptable vessel and not be afraid to go into combat! And with its reasonably stylish exterior design, you won't be afraid to show up at fleet admirals' gatherings - if you decide to at all! (Note: Fleet admirals' gatherings are usually either really boring or get blown up so you may not want to attend.)
Design wise, I was originally thinking of making something vaguely resembling a more luxurious Millenium Falcon, but I kind of veered off course and into the realm of nacelles. What can I say? Nacelles look really cool. I was more or less attempting to impart a "well-made clunker" type feel to the design with all the different design bits on the outside, and it seems to have gone okay.
