The Aesir are a nomadic people found all across the universe, never setteling in one place for long, they travel in large groups called Hirds, usually with a gigantic ship that almost at times looks more like a floating city than an actual ship.
They are warriors and craftsmen, deeply burried in ancient traditions and folklore and many of their ships are named after their gods and creatures from the old tales.
Generally friendly, they most often stick to themselves and wont get involved in the conflicts of others if they can help it...though a good trade will often get you on their good side.
The Aesir hirds are led by a single individual, most often a warrior commanding the biggest ship in the war fleet...but cases of traders and craftsmen rising to such a position is not unheard of.
The Aesir is an RP faction located on the Risen server.
Our goal is to create a tight knit group of likeminded individuals and creating a good and welcoming atmosphere.
We are newly created but have a small station up and running in our own sector and believe it's about time we expanded our little group.
We are fairly strict when it comes to ship designs, trying to create a uniform apperance and there are limits on how big ships you'll be able to make.
We are allied with the UNSF and have our home fairly close to them and plan on doing some joint combat excercises in the future.
We have a norse mythology theme running through the faction reflected in ship names and the like and brown is the main colour used with black accents.
We will do both combat and mining/salvaging as well as construction so you must be interested and willing to do all those things.
We have a simple forum (still a work in progress) and our own room on the Risen TS server, though not very active now, it will be when our ranks grow.

If you wish to join The Aesir you must:
- Play on the Risen server
- Have read, understood and follow all server and faction rules
- Be mature and friendly
- be trustworthy and active on the server
- Be a teamplayer willing to work for the whole and not just yourself
- Be respectful of the other members of the faction and others members on the server
- Be willing to both mine and do shopping runs to gather the materials needed by the facion
