Kupu asked that I move this topic from his texture thread over to the bug section.

    Sytem Specs:
    Machine: Mac Mini 2011
    Processor: i5
    Memory: 12GB
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB

I don't have any issues displaying Kupu's realististic textures on the public release. I can't get the cartoon textures to work though. And incidently, I can't get any of the textures above 64 working on the dev release. I wonder if the problems are related? However, I think the dev issue may be the pathing in the code not being compatible with unix - at least seems to be the issue in the shadows plugin. In any case, if anyone has any idea what my problem is here I'd love some insight.

Display the 256 textures is no problem for me. Heck I can display Walzou's 2024 just as smoothly as I can Kupu's realistic set. You can click on the image for a link to a larger version.

So, it was a limitation evidently in my hardware. I guess if you own a Intel Mac that\'s more than 2 years old -- you suck. :P

The 128 textures run at 2048 x 2048. The 256 textures run at 4096 x 4096. In the stable release ( 20140114_182618), I can run up to 2024 textures on my Intel HD Graphics 3000 card. I can\'t display 4096 on the stardard release.

With the new features added in the dev release, I can no longer run 2048 textures. I have to drop down to 1024. The picture below is taken from the Dev version after I converted the Relastic textures from 128 down to 64.

At this rate as more features come online, I wonder if I\'d notice any kind of performance increase using 32 texture packs? Personally, I think Pixelboy\'s 64 texture pack is absolutely brilliant and could be converted down to 32 without any loss. It would be great if he would be in position to maintain his texture pack for the Dev version. It may come down to the only texture pack available for Intel graphics cards or Macs in general that looks decent. Kupu\'s Cartoon pack may be able to go down to 32.

Thanks for posting this in the right spot, finally got around to answering you!

Ok, in the latest dev build

    Running on a 2008 Macbook. OSX 10.8.3 - GPU: Nvidia 9400m

I\'m able to see ALL textures at all resolutions.

    Cartoon packs at 64 - 128 & 256 are working with 55+ FPS.

Intel graphics have been known to cause trouble with OpenGL graphics and gsgl shaders.

As a mac user i know it\'s sometimes not so simple to update specific drivers for your hardware... However make sure your Java is up to date and 64 bit.

Yeah, I\'m sure it has something to do with my Intel graphics card. Although the card I have is compatible for up to OpenGL 4.0, I\'m sure something in the current driver release is off. I get excellent frame rate regardless of which textures I do choose. I did update my Java a few weeks back to the latest 64bit release for Mac (ver 7 update 51). I\'ll continue to play around and see if I run into some kind of solution. I\'d rather display your textures in full HD goodness! :D

Well, I duel booted on Ubuntu and I was able to display the 256 Realistic on Dev at 60+ fps. So maybe it\'s time I reinstall the Mac OS. :D
