At the moment, stations are a bit bland, great for ransacking but no real reason for hanging around in.#
In short - I suggest a variety of spacestations suiting key different themes and with different equipment.
(I probably assume this has been suggested before but id like to put my spin on things)
Themes? Equipment? What are you talking about you handsome fool? - I suggest a couple of key themes which occasionally i think should intermix for even more variety and have a degree of rarity
- Alien Theme - Rare - These places are built by a long lost civilization (or are they?), interesting things not usually obtainable by shops and conventional crafting can be found within thier walls aswell as some complicated defence systems.
- Tourist/Casino Theme - uncommon - a neon lit paradise of slot machines and bright lights, both pirates and the trading guild can be found around these places, quite peacefully until shots are fired and sometimes, small unattended ships will be parked up nearby.
- Abandoned - Trading Station Theme - A long forgotten station left by either of the main station themes, often contains lots of cargo but might be hotly contested by pirates.
- Active - Trading Station Theme - This is a trading station in operation and owned by the trading guild - beware, attacking guild ships (and stations) will hurt relations and they are heavily armed, elsewise they are usually friendly, provide a haven from pirates and can sell you wares much like a improved and constantly restocked shop.
Military - abandoned military stations usually filled with surplus supplies but also have fully functioning weapons systems like missile launchers defending the perimiter.
