    Greetings,

(The issue with our game being represented as "Released" has been resolved, thanks must go out to Valve who acted swiftly.)

After approximately 71,280,000 seconds since being listed on Greenlight, StarMade has been released on Steam as Early Access!

You can now check out our Steam store page here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/244770

Purchasing on Steam will allow you to upgrade your account through the Citizen's Registry. We are still implementing the feature to allow users who have already purchased the game, to receive a version on steam.

    Thanks for playing StarMade,

    - SM Team

Alright, how the HELL did you pull off the elevator?
Docking... It can do miracles. That and double right SHIFT to avoid accidentally turning the elevator.

Yay for the release on steam![DOUBLEPOST=1417711916,1417711744][/DOUBLEPOST]Wait... The tutorials on the main page and the description have been updated! This is now officially the best day ever!

(the description no longer says "minecraft inspired".

Ok, i bought Starmade a few months ago; I just made a steam account today and find out that i'm not allowed to participate in the discussions about Starmade. Whats happening ?

Sorry if its not the right place to post this.

Buying on steam (despite already owning a copy) to support the devs, and to be one of the first to review the game.

I just noticed on the steam page for the game. It shows that it supports Local Co-Op. I don't think this is true is it? As I don't think you can have 2 players doing split screen on the same PC. or even 2 windows can you?

Currently I don't know of any split screen. But you can have multiple windows open at once, assuming you're using different names. However only one window can be active at a time. Some use multiple windows/accounts for recording.

in theory if you cannot play with both windows then its not really possible to have "Local Co-Op". The term after all is used to denote when 2 players can play on the same machine at the same time. Unless there are plans to add in such a feature I think they may want to remove it from the steam list of features. It could mislead people.

Not trying to nitpick just trying to help improve the outward appearance of the game to newcomers from steam. after all most people do make up their mind about a game and company off of their first impressions.

By local Co-op, I assume it means LAN without having to portforward (portforwarding is a pain in the ass for some of us).

That works too. It will upgrade your account. It's going to be better than steam anyway. And if you ever do get steam you can always just activate it through the registry (it's an upcoming feature).

OH got it. Didn't think of it as in LAN. I do hate having to port forward in LAN games. thanks for informing me.
