Firing actually firing missiles in a stagger with logic blocks would likely be easy, but the only kind of missile that can lock on automatically after fired is swarm missiles to my knowledge, so would it be possible to fire a staggered volley of sniper missiles using logic blocks with a lock on active?

Theres always swarm missiles imo (auto lock).
But if you want staggered missile-beam ones, then yes there are ways.
First of all you create a ship that has low power storage and high power regen, then create a beam missile system with lots of deccently powerful outputs (or use a few computers for this).
After initially firing a few missiles and using up all your energy, it will then fire another missile as soon as it has enough energy too, thus you are firing one missile every 0.3 seconds or so (depending on how youve built it). Depending on the number of out puts you can be outputting a steady stream of missiles like this for 10-20 seconds (and boy does it look absolutely beautiful :3).

You could alternativly use a ship with high power storage, but use another weapon to drop your power supplies before firing your missile vollys.

There isn't any way to have a sniper missile activated by logic aim on its own. It's as you said, only the heat-seeking swarmer missile, which selects targets after launch, has any form of guidance.

You could create a turret that launches dumb-fire missiles. Have a separate weapon system on the turret, such as a cannon/beam/ion with a single block each. The turret will aim that weapon at the target, but such a weapon setup won't do any physical damage. Then activate your logic-controlled dumb-fire missile system on the turret remotely. Okay, it's not guided, but it'll hit the broad side of a barn if the barn is stationary. :)

Something that 'might' work if the AI on a turret is smart enough to realize that it cannot fire through the hull of the ship (probably not smart enough) would be a rotating launcher. Have a series of missile launcher 'turrets' that have no barrel and are attacked to a rotating platform with a single rail turret axis. Each of these would have their own Bobby AI. Bury the rotator and the docked missiles under the hull but permit one to have a firing aperture. As the rotator exposes each of it's docked missiles to the firing aperture, it 'might' fire. Maybe worth a try?
