Speed And Variability of Speed

i think the top speed should be increased a lot, and it should be linked into the amount of thrusters you have and the mass of your ship, and also you should be able to set yourself at a certain speed rather than accelerating constantly until your top speed, i think it would be good because imagine this: You are on Multi-Player and trotting along a steady pace when a giant battle cruiser comes up and starts to attack you, because of it's mass the battle cruiser is only able to match your current speed, and then BAM you start accelerating leaving that battle cruiser behing high and dry, it could be a good thing for swarming fleets too
