I've asked in the support chat about this issue. When I play StarMade, roughly 30 to 40 minutes in, the game will unexpectedly crash to the desktop. When I get back in the game, 10 minutes worth of work is gone, and I have to redo what I did the previous 10 minutes all over again.
Somone mentioned that I only had 512mb set for running StarMade, so I was advised that I should increase those numbers, Max, Initial, and Early from 512, 128, 64 to 1024, 512, 128 respectively. I did that, and the game still crashes randomly to the desktop. I was also advised to uninstall and reinstall my video card driver. I did that as well, the game still crashes to the desktop.

My specs, Windows XP PRO SP3, 3.25GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.84GHz, Nvidia 9500 GT 1GB RAM.
