Shield power consumption

    Maybe this is a bug, maybe im looking at the numbers wrong, but the wiki on this site says sheild dispersers take basically 1000e/sec for 1 sheild point.

    i have a ship with ~106,000 sheild regen per second, should mean i need 106,000,000 energy for one full tick; which cant be true as i have 1m regen or so and about 600k storage and a full tick costs about half my storage (around 1.3m energy)

    Now, after some simple testing (placing sheild dispersers on my ship) ive found there is some sort of curve on the total sheild amount as it starts at 905 with just a core and a disperser and gets down to 2 at some number of blocks, the regen rate is also wrong on this page's wiki, it seems to be 2, not 4, constantly. i still cant find out the consumption rate



    TL;DR what is the consumption rate supposed to be for sheild generators? they arent as listed and seem to take random amounts per tick.

    also, the thrust equation at the top of the screen under ship\'s name in build mode says 22301(Ship mass) - 22301 = 22301

    Shields consume 1 E to produce 1 S, I\'m fairly certain. (This should be easy enough to test: fill a new ship\'s power reserves, then remove all batteries and place a shield disperser. Then just watch.)

    ah, i see, i kept trying to read the power it took after i got shot, didnt think about it that way, plus i was pretty tired when i tried all this. thanks.



    Also, another thing, no matter how much damage your sheilds take it takes the power of a full tick of sheild regen. that means taking 1 dmg will require as much power (per second) as taking 10000 dmg (implying they dont break your sheilds and smash some power generators)
