Saving ships?

Can anyone please explain how to save a ship you built as a recipe? I'v been trying to find information about it but everything says to look in the catalog in a older version of StarMade, where the current Catalog only give the option to acquire a recipe instead of making your own.

Hit the U key while you are in the ship's core or the build block of a station and click on the Save Blueprint button up top left in the catalog.
