Rovers and remote controlled cameras?

Hey i got an idea of a rover witha camera on it and you can watch it from your ship a bit like nasa is this possible?

Should have artificial lag based on distance then: "distance /(x* max server speed)"

NASA has lags on their mars rovers too - multiple hours afaik.
