Roleplaying Server Recruitment
Greetings & Salutations,
Warning , long post ahead !
Earlier this month I wrote a post about starting a roleplaying server. This server would at first be private for merely one ship and it's crew, who would be tasked with several missions and objectives, all hanging together in the same story line which forms a campaign.
Later down the line the idea would be to open this server to other vessels and their crews , assuming they have what it takes to roleplay on a mature level , and have several ships out there doing their own tasks and duties, which could lead to interesting encounters or conflicts.
The past few days we've been doing some tests. We've gathered a testing team to check if the vessel was efficient while at the same time large enough for comfortable roleplay. Rooms that have no actual in-game purpose had to be added, such as a canteen, barracks , etc. ..
We ran into several bugs , glitches and issues but were able to solve most of them, and now have the server , the ship , and the concept ready to open to the masses. We might need a moment of time after the recruitment procedure has concluded to finish soem final details.
Over the course of the past week or so we have recieved many messages of applicants, hoping to make their way onboard the 'ISD 42 Liberator' to serve as a crew member and participate in this epic playstyle.
First of all I would like to gratefully thank those who were involved in the testing phases. We couldn't have gotten this far without you and although we will probably run into other issues and problems before all this is over , we are grateful that you were willing to spend your time with us on this project, although it wasn't without complications.
I am very eager and very happy to anounce that from now on , we will be accepting applications for people , interested to join the roleplaying concept , the crew and the clan on our private server , to have the experience we've been waiting for and working towards. Below you shall find everything you need to know about how to join and what is required. Please keep in mind that the crew of the ship as it stands , will only hold about 15 - 20 crew members. So make sure to try your best !
Requirements :
- Be mature , there is no age requirement , we just demand that you are mature in your roleplaying.
- Stay in bloody character , the one thing that ruins a smooth roleplay is people who fail to remain in their character and start talking ofc.
- Respect the fundamental rules listed below.
- Teamspeak & Mic
- Be in the EU - UK or able to match the timezones.
How to join :
- Write a in character application to be recruited on board the 'ISD 42 Liberator'. A short message of 3 lines or such will do , aslong as it is professional. This is to make sure you know the basics of roleplaying. Once you have written this application send it to the following email : [email protected]
- Await an answer , we will respond to either tell you you've not been accepted , otherwise we'll include furthur instructions within the response.
PS : you will be required to finally undergo a interview with the members of High Command to make sure you are mature and simply good enough to roleplay with your voice in a conversation , this interview will be in character also , remember your bio !
Fundemental Rules :
- You have roleplaying freedom , use it. come up with interesting events or subjects of conversations that could lead to an interesting twist. For example the Communication officer could approach the Commander of the vessel and inform him a nearby planet sent a hologram informing us of the possible location of a pirate base. This obviously never actually happened but it enhances the roleplay , you have creative freedom , use it !
- Don't take things to far , blowing up the ship up because you were drunk one night and the barmaid refused to sleep with you doens't make any sense at all. Make sure your actions make sense in some regard , this also has to do with being mature enough to roleplay with us.
- Respect your officers. In order to maintain some form of order , the officers will have the last word , respect their commands and co-operate.
- Respect the ship's rules , these will be mentioned during the interview.
We will send responses at the end of july to the 15 - 20 people who made it in , and to all the remaining others to inform them they haven't been chosen. Whatever the case we will respond ! We hope to begin the campaign at the begining of august or late july perhaps. The first day will include a tour for the new members , an explenation of the concept and rules once more and we will answer any questions you have.
Once again , we are looking for mature roleplayers. People who know what they're doing when it comes to roleplaying and people who can remain in character.
