NPC Space Marines! Am I right?!

NPCs are coming, just realized that if I could have ONE kind of NPC on my ships it'd be a squad of ultimate badasses with armed with lasers, sniper rifles, rocket-launchers and sharp sticks to repel or at least delay boarders. Even better if I can send them to board a nearby enemy ship as well...

I am super down for anything with NPC marines. I only hope we'll actually be able to have armies of them. I think it will be interesting to watch marine vs. marine fights, especially on ships that already have openings for crew.

I do think that if we can have marines, there needs to be an expansion (at least a little bit) of the range of astronaut weapons. Perhaps a hand-held warhead to serve as a one-time torch? Or scatterguns?

It is planned to have more guns and iirc equipable armor.
