I saw some mention of people having trouble making regular polygons, so I decided to put together a little "calculator" (spreadsheet with formulas, because I don't know how else to make this accessible) to easily get the important dimensions of regular, symmetrical triangles, hexagons and octagons (for now). You will still have to make the lines in between corners, which can be tricky, but it should simplify the process significantly.
To use it just download the file from the google spreadsheet and follow the instructions.

If there's interest in other -gons I might give it a shot, but most others require a whole lot more measurements.
