Quick bar question

I know this is probably the mother of all stupid questions, but how do you remove an item from your quickbar when piloting your ship?

I've tried every combination of drag and drop/button combination I can think of and I can't get things completely removed. I do know how to replace things, but what if you decide you don't want a system on the hotbar.


On a related note, is there an easier way to switch link and unlink systems rather than using the build mode? I found that you can link them in the "G" menu but the only way I've found to unlink them is to go into build mode and do it that way.

to unlink in g menu you drag the slave or effect onto the master system icon in g menu

To remove from hotbar i still haven't figured that part out, i normal just drag my core onto what i want removed on my bar, and then move the core back to bar 10 spot 10
