Whenever I run the starter exe, it has a pop-up saying "The registry refers to a nonexistent Java Runtime Environment installation or the runtime is corrupted. The system cannot find the path specified". It wasn't always like this, it used to work just fine. Only the more recent months this had been a problem. What should I do?

    Thanks,

    First try re-installing java.

If that fails, try to re-download the launcher and then run it.

If that fails as well, righclick the launcher, click on \"properties\', go to the compatability tab, and mark the \"run as administrator\" checkbox.

That\'s all I can think of to solve it.

The error seems to show that your system has issues finding the java installation, because it is corrupt, or simply not there.

So somehow, java is messed up on your system.

however, that isn\'t true because I can play runescape and minecraft just fine and they use java.

For me anyways, the java version I had was 32 bit when I have a 64 bit OS. The java on the homepage to download is 32 bit. Everything worked again after I installed the 64 bit version. Hope this helps!
