It sounds like a chat message going but I cannot for the life of me find it on the page lol

In the lower left hand corner of the site click on the Chat (##) bar and a list should open. There's a gear in the upper right corner. Click that and click Chat Sounds to uncheck. This may help. To close the list click on the title bar and it should minimize.
