Planetfront (Federation and Imperial Ships!)

Planetfront is a universe created by me, set 300 or so years in the future, and is about the power struggles in the Colonial Expanse between the United Colonial Federation and the Tartaran Empire.

Since this thing is my baby, I decided to make some ships, starting with some Feddie ships. So far I only have one, but I'll be building more and adding them as I go.

First, is the Federation's Apollo class Frigate, which serves as a patrol vessel, as well as a light combat ship.

Id be interested in seeing this \"universe\" expanded out more, i think its kinda cool when someone makes those up, especially when they start building things around it. It brings character to ship builds witch is nice to see

I\'ve been looking for something-ANYTHING- to write about lately. I mean, this is, of course, the product of your brain, and you may not want me besmiching it, even if I never post my creations anywhere, which I would be fine with, but I NEED TO WRITE A SHORT STORY OR SOMETHING. Friggin writers block, amirite?... I am, in fact, right. Anyways, if I gain more information about said universe, I would like to write a short story about it.



Also- that\'s a LIGHT cruiser?

Hey, that\'s great you\'re showing some interest in this. I really only started this to make a couple of Federation and Empire based factions and duke it out with each other on a server, but if you want to write a sort of story in the universe, then I don\'t see why not.

What do you need to know?

And that\'s a Frigate. Apollo class. The Federation also have the Ares class Battleship, the Artemis Destroyer and the Athena Carrier. The Tartaran Empire has the Charybdis class Frigate, the Scylla class Destroyer, the Kraken class Battleship, the Typhon class Dreadnaught as well as the Echidna class Carrier.

Probably the goals of each faction, any notable names you\'ve come up with, if alien races are involved, and anything else that seems important.

Well, the Federation and the Empire both want a peaceful Colonial Expanse (the area of space they inhabit), and both have their methods. The Federation are more diplomatic, seeking allies and building trade relations with the Independents (governments not under the Federation or Empire). The Empire is more inclined to pacify disruptive and hostile planets instead of diplomacy, but they have been known to extend the olive branch on occassion. They just prefer to remove a problem instead of make friends with it.

There\'s a few names, but if possible, I\'d rather they have limited involvment, if that\'s okay.

No aliens. Just them. The Tartaran Empire are race of mutated humans though, so that\'s as alien as we get.

I would say the Apollo Class Frigate is finished. Just a few things to do in the interior, but it is combat ready. I\'ll be moving onto the Tartaran Charybdis Frigate next.
