Started writing something similar to this as the story of a server i used to play, sadly forum went down and lost the original writing. Wrote this for practice and entertainment, I hope that with future chapters it improves the story and might change this chapter accordingly, hope you like it and pelase leave feedback. I know there are some missing chunks such as the Arrival of what, I'll mention that later.

Admiral Armensky: Where to begin?
Star Date: February 17, 3 years after Arrival
Sector: 10,9,-3 Edges of Odyssey Sovereignty
At 20 years old I was one of the youngest marines in service, surprising that I made it to squad leader. To this day I wonder if it was due to my skills or desperation of our forces.
“Orders received Staff, land on the outpost and clear the hostiles”.
“Roger that captain, squad 3 moving in”
Standard Odyssey squads consisted of 5 men, easy to manage and to lead. By regulation each squad most consist of a weapons specialist, a field medic, two assault units and myself. Robert had our backs as the weapons specialist, Arian was our trained field medic while Kyle and Jake went front as our assault units. Each of my squad was a rookie, barely out of the academy but got the job done.
We flew in a small standard drop ship, designed for 8 passengers and a small cargo load. We were in one of those moments before the assignment in which you knew that there was always the chance that you weren’t going to make it. I looked at each of them, remembering how not long ago I was in their place. Dropping in into a unknown assignment in which we weren’t told anything besides, drop in, clear the area, and extract. That was our drill.
The hud turned green and the ramp was lowered. Jake and Kyle took point, running out and taking their places at each side of the outpost’s door. I took a moment to recon the area as Robert approached them and placed the small charge. I looked around wondering what could we find in a small place like this one, only a small outpost in an asteroid. By the architecture I could tell it was once meant as a recon station, a tall tower with an observation dome at the top, didnt have much time to analyse it but it seemed that it was abandoned not long ago with barely any of its power grid available. With a structure like this we’ll have a few minutes to go in and seal the atmosphere, no problem for trained marines. I gave the order and the door blew.
