No planet Explosion

Hi, me and my friend just finished destroying a planet. it took at least 30 minutes to an HOUR. when we destroyed it, there wasn't an explosion. I had expected one because I saw a planet get destroyed in the weapons update video. I thought it would be cool, but it turns out that it just disappeared and nothing happened. Anyone else having this problem or know a fix?

They just disappear? I thought each face of the planet was meant to drift off into space?

The faces of the planet will fly off into space. It can cause some lag when it happens, maybe that made it look like they disappeared.
They can fly a couple of sectors before they stop, so you have to go hunt them down.

You also need a lot of dps to destroy them, I use 100,000 beam modules with 12,700 pulse modules as a support system in my deathstar to destroy them in one click.

Yeah, the cool explosion was sadly added in using AfterEffects or something... :|
