    This is about what was said in the developer interview with calibri.

    he said there could be a system of faction points. With these points you would pay for the invulnerability of your home base. The amount of points necessary would depend on the size of the station.

    while I like the idea in general. This would certainly harm creativity with the bases.

    This is just a topic to collect some ideas that may benefit the game.

    so here my two cents. I think there should be blocks which do not count to the size of the base. Let's say any environment blocks do not count. This way we could have big islands with mountains as bases without spending huge amounts of faction points on them. Maybe let even normal hull not count. So only blocks which are usefull in combat count. So any hardened hull, shields, batteries and power blocks.

    I would count credits. Terrain costs almost nothing (but wood and ice crystals should be adjusted then) I always wonder why people use basic hull (133 hp) while they could use rock (100 hp) too.
