Hello, a friend of mine's been suggesting that I try StarMade. He described it as a starship game where you build your ships out of blocks. First thing I thought of was Gummyships, actually. Heh.
I'm decent at designing things although I'm not the best at space shooters. Right now I'm sketching out a couple potential designs based on memories of my old Gummies since the premise is somewhat similar, if considerably different by virtue of multiple decks and new parts.
I'm an illustration artist who attends a university where I major in Theater (Design). I love coming up with new ideas and sketching them out. Even better if I can actually create them. Odds are in this game, I'll end up focusing on creation or harvesting materials as opposed to combat.
I am also a roleplayer, better with on-the-fly invention as opposed to sitting down and creating characters before implimenting them.
I'm not sure what else to say right now, so here's a couple ship doodles.
Ship 01: "Mark 1" Average speed, decent firepower.
Ship 02: "Scouter" High speed, light firepower, low defense.
Ship 03: "Barrier", slow, heavy fire-power. More storage(?)
