The negative ratings were removed because they were being abused. And then we started to use neutral ratings as a replacement for negative ones and the whole positive/neutral/negative thing was removed entirely.

Positive/Neutral/Negative could have been a good thing if used properly. But with great power comes great trolls. So the system had to be abandon.

I suppose you could try to look at posts vs positives the person has to judge how often they say something that people think is relevant though. I do kinda wish we had a "Incorrect Info" or "Outdated Info" tags... But I am sure they would be abused as well. Damn trolls. *skulks back under bridge*

They get supplanted by "Funny", "Informative", "Friendly" & "Useful" when used subvers... I mean wisely.

EDIT : But they should implement the facepalm thing. Not offensive and enought to transmit our despairs.

Part of the reason we lost negative was because Leanson went off rating all posts everywhere disagree. >:U

He got banned for a week for that iirc.
