Multiplayer blocks not updating.

My friends and I are building on a remote server, only some of the blocks placed by my friends aren't sent to my computer and no amount of sector changing, client restarting and server restarting seems to fix this. Sometimes it fixes over time, sometimes it doesn't.

According to my friends I am just floating through walls.

This happens to 2 out 8 or so people on the server.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Deleting my local install and re-downloading fixed it. But I also noticed that some blocks in one of my ships were jumbled around upon reconnection.
