First of all, I had no time for starmade since the first power update and just updated today, so one word : nice job! The new power system with values ajustments is really interesting and has a lot of new possibilities. Nice to see starmade on a constant and quick evolution.
As for the bug itself: I frequently have shops stuck into my ship.
My supposition:
-physics are only calculated in the sector where the core of the ship is.
-My core is on the rear part of a 800 meters ship.
-Shops are always (in my sessions) in the corner of a sector.
So, if I'm right,
-when approching a shop, the front part of the ship enters the shop's sector, while the core is still in the other one
-the interaction between the shop and the front part isn't calculated and if I'm not careful, I'm advancing through the shop
-when the core finally arrives in the same sector than the shop, physics are calculated, but the shop is in the ship and is "captured".
If it is really what happens, could it be possible to simply move shops toward the center of the sector in order to have a temporary solution ?
It could be also useful for another bug related to sectors: when I exit the game while having the front and rear part in different sectors, all what is docked in the same sector than the core loads correctly, but all what is docked to the front part (other sector) just spawn randomly away from the ship.
As I often quit the game while being next to a shop to buy and construct in the next session, given that the station is in the corner of a sector, the ship is often in two sectors and I have to find back the docked elements and attach them back.
On a different topic, while playing with cannon/missiles to understand when they were firing from the core instead of the weapon block, I noticed that weapon position seems to be related to small 15*15*15 boxes with the first one centered on ship's core. Every weapon on the right of this first box is buggy and fires from the core.
I guess this issue is already documented, but I was wondering what was the point of those tiny adjacent boxes instead of the normal x,y,z position ?
