moving blocks

you might say, well, blocks are already moving right? thats not what im talking about, if you happen to play minecraft check out the redpower mod. what i want to see is something similar to frames and frame motors so that building things like docks are more flexible, so that maybe you could have a platform extend out to meet the astronaughts waiting to baord the station.
