These could be decorative blocks, although I'd enjoy the mock-engineering of making them functional somehow.

Conduit - A Conduit block is partially unsolid and transparent. The central 4x4 voxels along one axis are solid and opaque. Conduit should come in various colors, including glowing ice crystal blue and lava red. Useful for antennas, decorative pipeworks, accent lighting.

Angled conduit - Like above but instead of running to opposite faces, the conduit runs straight between the centers of two adjacent faces.

Plate - A Plate block is partially unsolid and transparent. 1 face of the block, 4 voxels deep is solid and opaque. Plate is useful for hull accents or lighting when applied to a ceiling or wall. A plate can also be used as a thin internal bulkhead.

All of these blocks would be decorative and non-structural with low damage resistance.

By making them functional I was referring mostly to the conduit... something like designating conduit as a wildcard tradition connector that would let you join groups of power tanks, thrusters, etc. How would it change your engine designs if you could use conduit to slip a line of power blocks through the 1 block gap between another two lines? The conduit would extend the tradition without adding directly to it.
