do I need to say more?,
Random amount of moons with different properties and minerals around planets orbiting them.
Not sure how the system works but maybe in the future?

Moons are hard to deal with, because each planet has a sector only dedicated to itself (which is why you don't see asteroids spawning near or above it in the same sector).

Rather, it'd be easier to have tiny planetoids (AKA dwarf planets http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwarf_planet ) to spawn together with asteroids (althought at a much lower rate).
Size-wise, if we want to keep things proportionate, a dwarf planet / planetoid / moon would have a diameter in between 15 and 80-100 meters/blocks.

Making the sectors much bigger could make implementing moons easier. As then both planets and moons could be in the same sector.
