I present my first fully outfitted and optimized ship, the Midway Class Cruiser.
A light cruiser, designed for dropping shields from afar while providing large scale anti-strike craft capabilities for fleets, Midway class vessels are light support ships. Armed with one forward mounted, long ranged antimatter cannon, one planetcracker dumbfire missile and a side mounted quad barrelled rapid fire weapon system, in ship to ship combat, the Midway can drop the shields on ships many times its size in short order, this however, means it relies on other capital ships or strike craft (of which it carries two in it's hangar bay) to finish the job. Midways are champions of fleet support, obliterating enemy fighter/bombers with ease using its battery of 18 Zipper mk II Point Defense Guns along with turret mounted version of the ships quad-cannon Decimator mk III Assault Gun and a rapid fire Garotte anti-ship gun.
At just under 100 meters long and 28 meters high and abreast, the Midway class crams an enormous amount of firepower into a sturdily and sleekly designed package.
Power output, mass and shields are classified due to recent field losses prior to the line's Up-Armour refit.
