I think its too long to travel between sectors, but i understand that going to fast adds lag due to the large amounts of chunk updates. I think a good soultion is a add another part, the phase drive. You phase out of ordinary space and you no longer get chunk updates. Instead you can travel to certain sectors withouta speed limit and then phase back into space at that point.

You could come out of warp deep inside asteroid or planet >.< Personally i like the stargate/warpgate ideas, with known start and endpoint.

1. Because this one is a slightly different idea.
2. He\'s given some thought to bypassing some of the normal restrictions.
3. He\'s entitled to have his own version of this suggestion.
