Hey guys.
Here is some ideas I had:
Oxygen tanks: Are nessasary for surviving in space and being able to breathe. Each one is bought for 120 credits and you get 6 to start with. Are slowly depleted and will last longer depending on how many tanks are attached. It is refilled by entering planets. Is indicated by a blue bar under the health bar, and if it runs out, you take damage.
Traveling traders: Appear sometimes and wander, will stop moving if you get within 100 meters, acts as a shop with less stock and item selection. If you destroy one you will get half of the items in stock, but the trading guild will attack. If you have no ship within 200 meters of you and you are on a planet, they will head towards you, making them useful if you are stranded.
Homing computer: Can be connected to any weapon to make it a homing weapon, which makes that weapon unable to miss.
Neutral space stations: Can be found in space and can be made allies or enemies. If made enemies they will attack, if made allies they will help you if you are being attacked and will trade. A transmission screen is brought up where you can give gifts, learn about them, compliment them or insult them. If they are allied they also allow you to dock at their station.
Random events: Sometimes while flying through space you will encounter things like pirate attacks on an uninhabited planet, slave planets, alien viruses and many others! They all have different things that happened when encountered. You will get rewards for doing these such as money, ship parts, crew members, pets, or even an enitre planet where you cannot be harmed.
Creatures: No space game is complete without aliens! On different planets you will find different creatures, some are tamable and will acompany you on your travels.
Crew: Across the galaxy you can recruit crew to do various things. They all look different.
