So, I've been playing StarMade for a couple weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it so far. Building, however, has become a major pain in the ass.
Since a few days, almost every block I place or remove (using 1, 2, 3 or no symmetry axis) causes one or two short lagspikes, dropping my framerate to 1. While these may be short, you can imagine building a 50.000 block station has become pretty annoying.
If anyone can tell me what's causing this and how to solve it, I'd be extremely grateful.
My specs are:
Windows 7 64bit, Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 2.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce (Cuda), 4 GB RAM.
My StarMade settings are:
Resolution: 1366*768
No Fullscreen, no Vert-Synch
Draw distance: 20
FOV: 85.0
Sound enabled at 10
Star Count: 2048
No dust particles
Shield Effect and background image enabled
Fixed framerate
Bone animation active
Stars off, tutorial off, AutoSelect Controllers off
TechInfo: some
Mouse sensitivity 0.5
No bloom
No inverted mouse
1500 MaxDrawn Segments
No linear filters
MaxBeamsDrawn: 1024
