Just had a 500m supercarrier and a planet just disappear into the ether O_O

So yeah

I just had a large ship I was working on in single player as well as everything that was parked next to it disappear after a game crash.

I've tried the search command and it says it pinpoints the ship in question at the sector it should be parked at but once I get there, there is nothing there.

Interestingly enough a nearby planet also has vanished into thin air.

Anybody else have this issue or have some insight on it?

The sector likely got corrupted. If you saved the ship to the catalog you should be able to start up again but if not I'm not sure how to help you right now.

Try clearing your client cache? (Tools from the main menu now, if I remember correctly.)

I had this happen to me too. Check your client version MANUALLY: it probably downgraded by 1 version when it crashed.
Even if it SAYS you are up to date:
->downgrade by 1-2 versions MANUALLY with FORCE DOWNLOAD option, then...
-->Upgrade to highest release version MANUALLY with FORCE DOWNLOAD option.
--->Everything will probably be fixed. Get back to me with a "yes this helped" or a "you're an idiot, things are still buggered"

I've tried clearing the cache, didn't help. Unfortunately Force downloading didn't do the trick either.
