hello i have tried to update my driver at

    http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect

but i have a custom one apparently, and it doesnt work for me when i update it. the crash occurs when the game loads to 100%. then it closes with no error message.

    Windows 7 64-bit operating system

    Sony VAIO model VPCCB32FD

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40 GHz

    6.00 RAM

please help. the only other computer i can play this awesome game on is a 6 year old refurbished laptop - which i get 1- 3 FPS on.

    i kid you not.

Did you search for the model number?

If I\'m not mistaken, aren\'t the Intel Graphics, at the very best, poorly supported? Something about OpenGL 2.0 not being supported or something?

Intel graphics work with OpenGL 2 (many upto 4) for any newer chips.

The major issue is lack of updates from manufacturers for intel drivers. So features aren\'t supported well because drivers are years old and buggy / not implimented.

yes i searched the model number, and tried to update the family driver under the video tab but that didnt help. is my model\'s custom Driver supported or not? or is the manufacturer just not making updates anymore?

You\'re using an intel built-in GPU. On a Laptop. Without a GCard. While refurbished.

What, you\'d expect to get some amazing hi-quality action from a game that crashed just because, on a six-year-old craptop with a built-in Intel GPU?

with all due respect, my laptop, while not sold anymore, is NOT A CRAPTOP. i can play PLANETSIDE 2 on this awesometop without lag. and its a one-year old laptop, not six. and it is not refurbished. your arguement is hinged on the assumption that my laptop sucks. it does not. my driver is outdated, and they dont make updates for my version anymore. just because one GPU is outdated doesnt mean the entire computer is crap.

    i rest my case.
