In-game Chat optionals - "Bell" and timestamp

I'd like to see a bell/ding/ping option for chat (preferably a checkbox on the window itself) so that when you are deep into something like build mode or eating a planet you can tell someone is talking.

I know timestamp has been brought up sometime in the past but as long as I was posting I wanted to refresh the idea.
