    I intend to use this page for some Illusive related announcements.

    On that note, I am hereby announcing that the Illusive Pirate and "Building" Build contest. This contest will be open Indefinitely, due to small submission numbers

    Rewards are offered for the best/most creative/most effective designs for the pirate build contest.

    Rewards will also be offered for the most aestetically pleasing structure for the "Building" contest

    Rewards are as follows:

    Grand Prize: Position as creative designer/ Head Architect for any future server projects, this position entails a bit of optional work, however, this position offers unlimited resources for server build projects, and a bonus for private build projects. Grand prize winner also is allowed their choice of accepting all of the other rank rewards in leiu of this position.

    First Place: 750 Million Credits, and 250,000 of winner's choice of item in game (excluding ore, or non-ship/hull/weaponry/etc.) First place winner will also recieve sector protection on one sector of their choice

    Second place: 200 Million Credits and 50,000 of winner's choice of item in game (same exclusions apply as first place winner)

    Runner up: 50 Million Credits, and 5000 of winner's choice of item in game



    Rules are as follows:

    For the Pirate Build Contest:

    1.All pirates must have below 20,000 DPS on shipboard weaponry (DPS is measured via the structure tab, under "Anti Matter System Collective"

    2. All pirates must not excede 100m on the Z axis, 75m on the X axis, and 75 on the Y axis, however, you can swap this around, to have 100m on a different axis, if you so choose, as long as the two remaining axes are no more than 75m

    3. Pirates are limited to no more than 3 Turrets, and the combined turret DPS (as measured on each turret via the method described in rule 1) must not excede more than half of the shipboard weapon DPS

    4. NO IMPORTS. Pirates for Illusive must be built on Illusive, and the current version of Illusive as of the start of this contest

    Once I get up and running I will pe participating in the pirate portion for certain.

    *A side-screen suddenly pops up on your flight interface.. The familiar jingle of the intersystem news channel fills your ears. Soon after, a confident female voice sounds over the speakers and her translated words light up on the holo-screens..*

    \'This is an urgent IlluCiv News broadcast. Reports from Sanctuary indicate several violent groups have come in possesion of decommisioned Pax-class Light Hauler vessels. Patchwork variants of this ship featuring a number of illegal modifications have been spotted. All civilian vessels should remain vigilant and request back-up from local authorities and defence systems when they come in contact with these ships. All receiving this transmission will be forwarded detailed data concerning the \'Incursus\'.\'

    *As the screen closes and the words fade away, a new file opens.*

    Incursus Gunship

    Originally conceived as the Pax hauler, this vessel was meant to carry cargo quickly between short distances. While in possession of a single powerful mining beam, it seems the rebellious elements are using it to salvage valuable parts off their victims\' ships. Main modifications have been a reducing of the carrying capacity, in favour of speed, and the addition of black market acquired weaponry. They are likely to be carrying illicit gains within the standard cargo container.

    Common Armaments

    -LB02.1 Lance

    A common weapon, known for its reliable range and firepower, but also its high energy demand. It is unlikely the Incursus has optimized energy circuits to sustain long term fire. Watch out for potential ramming when they do run out of power.

    -Krim Laser Auto-Turrets

    Outdated Military Grade weaponry, a large number of defect models can be found in scrapheaps all throughout the universe. While generally regarded as not much of a threat, it seems they\'ve gotten them to work, and have slightly improved their output. In large numbers they may pose a significant hazard.



    Notable Defects

    The Pax hauler was never meant to be a weapon\'s platform, or exceed safe carrying speeds. Decommisioned versions generally had problems with circuitry, and relaying power to all parts. This can be taken advantage of. As it was a hauler, its shielding and armour are only civilian grade. It is unlikely to be able to stand a barrage of military grade weaponry.

    PREFACE
    The general idea is to give people a time and a place to \"test out their builds\" in a pvp environment.
    GENERAL RULES
    1. Squad size is to not excede more than 5 players, not counting staff
    2. Each squad has a maximium of 5 ships total, which means one flagship, and 4 smaller ships
    3. Each flagship will have a member of the Illusive staff \"riding along\" for example, in a build block, non-connected weapons computer, etc.
    4. Flagship dimensions WILL NOT excede 250m on the longest axis, and no more than 125m on any other axis, so for example, 250 long, 125m \"tall\" and 125m \"wide\"
    5. MASS LIMITATION TO BE DETERMINED
    6. Each squad may have up to, or less than 5 players in it, but the does not mean they must field one ship per player players may choose to be a crewmember instead
    7. Each flagship may have no more than 5 turrets each ammounting to no more than 1/10th of the ship\'s mass, same restriction applies to non-flagship ships
