Idea- 3D Graphed MAP?

Just an idea would it be good to have a ingame map that displays you and other objects around using a

3D box like Graph? this will enable the player to always have a good bearing of where him/her are in the

corrolation the the enviroment? and to judge distances better?!

Maybe some insperation from the map in homeworld? but Obviously adapted to a much larger sclae

Yeah, I think everyone would benefit greatly from this, the current map is just...ugh, small and unwieldly. It\'d be cool if we could see our previous flight history in game as a path on the map too.
