Okay, here is my os and other info, since this bug affects my desktop.
computer: ASUS R700V series (re-named to a different type) OS: Windows 8
cpu:intel core I-7
memory: 8GB, 1TB Hard drive
graphics card: nvidia geforce gt, 635m, 2 GB
bug affects icons by replacing the arrows on desktop icons with a random repeating pattern of different pictures. these pictures include: the network and sharing symbol, a grey pixel X, and a green circle with a check mark in it.
