Thought I'd offer an idea..
Setting aside a sector or 2,[or 10] beside spawn. For what I call "Friday night fights...."
Where players can come battle it out.
In a type of arena where players that have agreed to be there, with same mass ships or what ever.
Have a list of player waiting.
Be nice if all could watch, till their turn.
With a time limit, or a surrender option.
I think this would add some real interest for the player, And keep a good player base.

That would fall under a server admin's job, not schine.

It would be really cool if we could battle each other in a test sector from the Ship yard. So we could test our designs without having to waste resources. Maybe the test sector could have an number or address assigned to it so you could invite as many people to battle or watch as you want.

Wasn't there a "battle mode" setting in the config? Does it even work still? I was so stoked to see it when they first came up with it. but I never got around to using it...
