So I ran into a group of pirates, and started attacking them, they were hitting me and eventually killed me, but my HP bar never went down. I'm pretty sure this is a bug. Just saying..
As long as im concerned the center of the ship (SHIP CORE BLOCK) gets hit you die with your ship.
If directly you as the astronaut guy gets hit your hp bar goes down just saying.
