Like many noobs, I had a time of it when first starting out, because of the pirates killing me before I was hard enough to take them on...well, a wee tip for you....when you spawn, sell your hull, and weapons cpu and arrays...buy more power and an OC Cloaker! Oh and a salvage cpu and arrays (dont need many to start)...
Just configure your power in the most efficient way, add salvage kit and cloak it. Voila! Go about your business, looking for stations to salvage whilst cloaked, no pirate bother for you!
